

Doyle Otis Pearcy was born on February 26, 1944, in the small town of Pond Creek, Oklahoma. He lived a fulfilling life and passed away just shy of his 82nd birthday on February 21, 2026, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family, who provided comfort in his final moments. Married to his beloved wife, Edith June Pearcy, for 61 years, Doyle's enduring partnership with her was a testament to their unwavering commitment. Together, they raised two sons, Paul and Aron, who always looked up to their father, and Doyle took immense pride in his family. His involvement in raising his four grandchildren marked their lives with warmth, encouragement, and countless cherished memories. A dedicated veteran of the Vietnam War, Doyle served in the United States Army from July 6, 1966, to June 17, 1968. His service earned him the prestigious title of sharpshooter and the National Defense Service Medal, recognizing his bravery. After returning home, he devoted 21 years of his professional life to Williams Natural Gas [in Woodward, Oklahoma, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues during his 35 years living in the community. Not only was Doyle an accomplished mechanic, known for his exceptional ability to fix and maintain vehicles, but he was also a true family man at heart. His home was always filled with love, laughter, and the joys of family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Kate Pearcy, and his siblings Clois, Howard, Wayne, and Lindel, and infant Patrick, all of whom he cherished deeply. Doyle survives by his devoted wife, Edith; his two sons, Paul and Aron; and a large and loving family that includes ten grandchildren, Erica, Chris, Drew, Mary, Nichole, Cai, Hannah, Xaiden, Kate, and Patrick Pearcy, and twelve great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his legacy. Doyle Otis Pearcy will forever be remembered for his kindness, love, and unwavering dedication to his family. His spirit will live on through the many lives he touched and the love he shared with those around him. A visitation is set for Thursday, February 26, 2025 at Resthaven Funeral home from 4PM-7PM. The funeral service will be Friday, February 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home with a Committal service following at 11:20 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, Ok 74801.
