Edward B. Richards

Edward B. Richards passed away on March 20, 2012 at the age of 94 in Shawnee. Ed was born on June 21, 1917 in Arkansas. He later moved to Shawnee where he married Julianna Taylor. They had six children.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, parents, one infant son, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Stewart and her husband Merrill McBride of Shawnee, and Kathy Stacy and her husband Chuck of Shawnee; three sons, Jamie Richards of Shawnee, Jerry Richards and his wife Lola of Wanette, Terry Richards and his wife Helen of Shawnee; two sisters, Helen Washburn and her husband Charlie of Shawnee, Jean Long and her husband Gene of Shawnee and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Ed was a dairy farmer and rancher. He loved trading cattle. He was a wonderful husband and Father.

Graveside Services for Ed will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Dale Cemetery. Brother James Bond will be officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
