Gene Elton Lain Sr., 78, formerly of Shawnee, passed away on October 17, 2010 in Oklahoma City. Services will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 at the Resthaven Chapel, 16006 S. Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801. A private interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Mr. Lain was born on August 15, 1932 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Emmett (Dutch) and Helen Louise Lain.
He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1950 and has since been a proud member of the Nifty Fifty. He belonged to the Composite Lodge #107 in Shawnee. He also was an active Shriner. He loved to play the guitar and the harmonica.
He is survived by his son Gene Jr.; two daughters, Gina and Melody and one grandchild.
He is preceded in death by one daughter, Trina Lain; his parents; and one brother, Darrell Emmett Lain.
