George Levi Davis Sr.

George Levi Davis, Sr. “Big George,” 62 of Shawnee, Oklahoma Died on October 19, 2011 in Oklahoma City. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. George was born on June 17, 1949 in Norfolk, Virginia to George C. and Ethel Davis. He graduated high school and joined the United States Army and served our great country in the Vietnam War. George later moved to Oklahoma in 1986. George was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was involved in multiple businesses but most well-known for Georges Tires. He was a proud sponsor of Jefferson School, being a part of the Secret Santa program each year.

He married Marilyn K. Magnino on December 12, 1992.

He is survived by his wife; son, David Ott and his wife Patrisha; Daughter, Heather and her husband Patrick Lucero; son, George Davis Jr and his wife Brandi; son Edward W. Davis and his wife Tabitha; daughter, Lora Davis; daughter, Tasha Herron and her husband Chicago Sr.; Stepchildren, Michael Ferrell, Sundie Tucker and Amber Welch; grandchildren, Alexis Jarvis, Devon Jarvis, Shane Ott, Cameron Ott, Hannah O’Day, Alyssa Davis, Jesiah Lucero, Kaiden Samuels, Samuel Lucero, Lyndi Lucero, Lauren Davis, Tanner Davis, George Davis III, Katelynn Davis, Austin Acklin, Gabby Baptiste, Braiden Baptiste, Maddy Davis, Hunter Chase, Riley “Dalton” Davis, Chicago Herron Jr., Colton Herron and one on the way. He is also survived by his former wife Sherry Waggoner and her significant other, Hal Marsh; one sister, Sherry Dumbeck

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandpa and grandma Butts; his brother, Ronnie Davis; his two sisters, Linda Hoffman and Roslyn Gay Davis.

In honor of George’s request, everyone attending the service is asked to dress in casual clothing.
