Glen Norris Smith

Glen Smith, went Home to Our Father on February 2, 2011. He was born and raised in Snyder, OK 76 years ago. He worked at Tinker AFB as a machinist where he medically retired in August of 1977. His hobbies included woodworking, garage sales, clipping coupons, hanging out at the Rainbow with his buddy David Land, and traveling.

Glen was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, James and Kate Smith; Father- and Mother-in-law, Ray and Pansy Way; Great-grandson, Chad Vanderburg; Sisters, Leona Dawn, Bessie Hammock, Vesta Shannon; Brother, Willie Smith.

Glen is survived by his Wife, Cedella of 56 years; Daughters Rhonda Westerman of Midwest City, Karen and Husband Michael Perkins of Shawnee; Grandson, Kevin Westerman and his fiancé Keili, and her children Chelsey Lackey and Devin McElroy of Shawnee; Grandson, Jason and his wife Annette Westerman and their children, Nathan and Nicole of Norman; Grandson, Chris and his wife Trudi Westerman of Shawnee; Granddaughter, Melissa and her husband Steve Montgomery, and their children Tyler, Lacie and Stephany, and their granddaughter Peiress, of Tecumseh; Granddaughter, Rachelle Westerman and her children Desiree and Justin Ramus and Ashley Hamm of North Carolina; Granddaughter, Marilyn and her husband Bill Rackley and their children, Michael Vanderburg, and his sons Damien and Jayden, Heather and her husband, Skylar Kaase, and their son Connor and Dillan Rackley of Shawnee; Granddaughter, Rhoda and her husband Charlie Brown, of Shawnee; Sister, Pauline Wilhite of Canyon City, CO.

He had many best friends through the years, but the only best friend still living is Gerald Bates, who lives in Weatherford, TX.

Special Friends include long time neighbors that were always there in their times of need, Darryl and Belinda Fisher and their daughters, Heather and Brandi, and their husbands and children.

Family will receive friends at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5 PM to 8 PM, Friday February 4th. Services will be at Liberty Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 12th, 2011. For additional information please visit our website at www.resthavenfh.com
