He was born February 14, 1936 in Sapulpa to Macy (Buck) Nowlin and Dorine Nowlin. He married his wife Carolyn Cannon on April 20, 1957 in Shawnee.
Jack attended school in Ponca City and Shawnee High School before joining the Army 82nd Airborne in 1954. He made a living installing carpet and tile and then worked at Tinker Field until he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Ronnie Nowlin and Richard Nowlin.
Jack is survived by his son Jay and wife Cindy and grandchildren, Blake and Crista Nowlin.
Visitation will be 12pm-8pm Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Reverend Steve Williams officiating.
