Shawnee resident, Kenneth B. Bumgarner, 59, died October 17, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 25, 1954 in Dale, Oklahoma to Willard K. and B. Elaine Bumgarner. He married the love of his life Jiefang Chen, and her twin boys Li and Qi, on December 22, 2004. He loved his family and loved to tease and joke around. He also had a great love for candy. He was greatly loved by many and will be dearly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home with Chaplain Martin Gossett officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around him
And whispered, “Come with Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer
And saw him fade away,
Although we loved him dearly
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
