Kenneth Eugene Gilbert

Funeral services for Kenneth will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday February 9, 2013 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday February 8 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Shawnee.

Kenneth married Cordelia Lairson on August 1, 1947 and had one son from that union, Randell Gilbert. Kenneth remarried Dorothy Neale in 1970 and she passed away in January 2001.

Kenneth was an Army Veteran and served in WWII. He retired from Tinker AFB, Eaton Corporation, and the Candle & Gift Nook. He was also a member of the Mason’s but his true love was a Rancher and Farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, his parents, one brother Leroy Gilbert, one sister Gertrude Gentry, and one granddaughter Tina Gilbert.

He is survived by his grandson Randy & Jennifer Gilbert of Shawnee, granddaughter Lori & Robert Mize of Shawnee, great-grandchildren Chance, Conner, Kaitlyn, Payton, Dalton and KayLeigh, daughter-in-law Tanya Gilbert of Shawnee, one brother Charles Gilbert of Burkburnett Texas, one sister Linda & Butch Hall of Meeker, son Randell Gilbert, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, special friends Betty & Bobby Kennedy, and a host of other friends.
