She was born September 25, 1945 to Elmer Pinkston and Mildred (Phipps) Pinkston in Hutchinson, Kansas. She grew up and attended school in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
After high school she married Bobby Maddox and they had two children Deanna Maddox and Robert Maddox. She worked various jobs. The one she most enjoyed was caring for the elderly.
Lena enjoyed doing crosswords, puzzles, games, and board games. She also loved spending time with family and friends. She loved flowers and plants.
Lena married James Hunt May 15, 1993. She gained two step daughters Karen Hutton of Salt Lake City, Utah and Emily Sagers of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Lena is survived by her husband James Hunt of 29 years, one daughter, six grandchildren; Travis Sooy, Dustin Sooy, Derek Carney, Deanna Rich, Bobby Maddox, Tiffany McCain and grandson-in-law Eddie McCain; great grandchildren Kyla McCain, Shamyha Beavers, and 8 others.
Lena preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her son.
She touched a lot of people’s lives and was loved by many.
Lena will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
