Lloyd Edward Williams

August 12th, 1934 – January 27th , 2018

Lloyd (Sonny) E. Williams passed away at his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma surrounded by his family after a brief illness with cancer.

Lloyd was born to Lloyd and Christina Williams in Sapulpa, Oklahoma . He grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma graduating from Shawnee High Class of 1952. After Graduating he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Lloyd married Georgina Looper in December 1960 and they moved to Sunland, California. They had three children, Lloyd Owen, Edward, and Matthew. They moved back to Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1980.

Lloyd worked for the Shawnee School District as an electrician until his retirement. Lloyd was a member of The American Legion. Lloyd was also a long term volunteer with the American Red Cross of Oklahoma.

Lloyd was a member of the Kickapoo tribe of Oklahoma, and Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Georgina Williams; and his son, Edward. He is survived by his two sons; Lloyd Williams and fiancee Wanda Pellot of Shawnee; Matthew and his wife Melissa of Brick, NJ; his sister Jeannie Powell and husband George of Texas; Nine Grandchildren: Lloyd, Daniel, Jonathan, Katrina, Timothy, Ariel, Trisha, Katelyn, and Adalyn; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
