In 1946 he joined the Army and served during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1947.
Luther was a general contractor and enjoyed building custom homes.
He was a kind-hearted, quiet man who loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, April Eaves.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Vereta C. Bailey; children, Cleo Jones and husband Steve, Chris Bailey and Donna Sestak, and Jessie Bailey and wife Bridgette; grandchildren, Tanner Bailey, Danielle Bailey, David Eaves, and Amy Eaves; brothers, Eldon Bailey and Miron Bailey; numerous great grandchildren, other dear family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm, Friday, April 3, 2015 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
