After graduating from Konawa High School, she attended college at East Central University and Oklahoma University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Education. She married Bob Dye, and they enjoyed life together for 58 years.
Junie was a woman of many talents. She was an avid gardener, a knitter, and a quilter. She played the piano and taught many people how to play. She loved to sing and enjoyed reading. She attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Shawnee and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a loyal member of the MOST ladies and the Renegade Angels at St. Paul’s.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob; her grandson Caleb Lyon; her nephew, Chad Hall; and her brother-in-law, Quentin Hall.
She is survived by her sister, Pat Hall; her daughters Elizabeth (Bitsy) Morrison and her husband Galen, and Patricia (Trish) Lenora and her husband Larry; her grandchildren Taylor Lyon (Jess), Jordan Mitchell (Steve), Aaron Lyon, Lauren Rogers (Kalen) and Brett Wible along with her great-grandchildren Rose, Oliver, Rory, Carson, Avery, Bryce, and Mason, and many dear friends.
The family would like to thank Gloria Barrett and Amanda Lenora, caregivers and special friends, and Junie’s cat, Mama.
A funeral service for Junie will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at 1:30 PM at St Paul's United Methodist Church, 301 N Beard Ave, Shawnee, OK 74801. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801.
