Marie Theola Hughes

Marie married Luther Hughes on August 27, 1949, and was blessed with three children: Son, Johnny Boyd Johnson and wife Penny of Alpharetta, GA; Daughter Patricia Ann Johnson Williams and husband Fred of Jenks, OK; Daughter Deborah Y. Hughes Walter and husband Donnal of Little Rock, AR. Siblings include brother Rowe Harvey and wife Gloria of Hemet, CA, and Sister Lorene Belcher of Grants Pass, OR;

. Marie has five Grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, five nieces, and seventeen nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Lesther and Etha; brothers, Floyd Harvey and wife Beula of Fort Worth, TX; Ambrose “Hoss” Harvey and wife Exie of Wilson, OK; Leonard “Doc” Harvey and wife Hazel of Covina, CA; Sisters, Carrie Easterwood and husband Leslie “Boss” of Madill, OK; Vannie Scott and husband Archie of Fullerton, CA; Odessa Kirkland and husband Ira “Dick” of Amarillo, TX;

Marie attended University Baptist Church of Shawnee, and was a dedicated homemaker and mother. An avid quilter, she enjoyed making baby quilts. Marie and Luther participated in the Family Sponsored Support program for Exchange Students at OBU. But, her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. Marie will be loved and missed by all.

Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, Tuesday April 3rd, from 8:00 AM to Noon. Funeral Services will be at Resthaven Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 3rd, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. For more information please visit www.ResthavenFH.com.
