Mary was born September 17, 1941 in Cucamonga, California. When she was three, they moved to Wellston, Oklahoma and lived with her grandparents. She was active in drama class and was in all of the plays. She worked at a local drugstore until she graduated from high school. In her adult life, she earned her CNA/CMA license and was called to work with geriatric patients.
Mary enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved gospel music, reading, shopping, singing, good food, word searches, and being read to… just to name a few. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone that entered her life.
Mary had an unwavering Faith in God. She did her best to live by His example. When she was able, she attended church at Praise Assembly of God. Mary loved her children. She was their best friend and their rock. Mary considered her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nanny or Nana, her reward for raising her six children.
Mom, Nanny, Nana… You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You’ll never know dear how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away.
