Mary met and later married Frank Monroe on April 12, 1948, in Paris, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2011, after 63 years of marriage. Together they had three children: Linda, Barry, and Bruce.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; son, Barry; sisters, Irene, Evelyn, and Ima Jean; brothers, Charles (Bud), Floyd (Sonny), and Grady Max.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Monroe of Rogers, AR; son, Bruce Monroe of Newalla, OK, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A committal service will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 44909 State Hwy 3, Shawnee, OK 74801.
