Pennie Janay Hasbell

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Pennie left our earthly world to be with our father in heaven on October 28, 2013.

Pennie J. Hasbell, born April 27, 1973 left our earthly world to be with our Father in heaven on October 28, 2013.

Pennie was in love with the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, camping, HGTV, but nothing compared to the love of Thunder Basketball. She was a social butterfly and was constantly making friends with new acquaintances both old and young. She never met a stranger and welcomed every soul into her life with a warm smile. She was employed at Smicklas Chevrolet and viewed her daily grind as an opportunity to befriend new people.

Over her 40 years on the earth she has graduated Bethel High School in 1992, attended St. Gregory’s University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, worked at Pratts Grocery Store, TDK, and Mobil Chemical in the film department, and spent the remainder of her short life at Smicklas Chevrolet.

She is preceded in death by her Grandparents David and Helen Hasbell, Ralph Florence Whittet, Gene Edwards Hargus, and Great Grandmother Goldie Myers.

She is survived by a loving host of family including parents Barbara and Hurbert Hasbell of Bethel, brother and sister-in-law Stacy and Tammy Hasbell of Bethel, brother-in-law and sister James and Kristen (Kristal) Conley of Meeker, brother Richard Hasbell of Shawnee, sister Debbie Boxly of OKC, sister Sheila Wren of Shawnee. Her pride and joys on the Earth filled in for the children she never had, nephew Austin Hasbell and nieces Renee and Amy Hasbell all of Bethel and Montana Conley of Meeker. She is also survived by her Uncle Wesley and Aunt Norma Mercer of Dibble, and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Hasbell Family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at the Heartland Hospice and to all the friends and family who helped and supported both Pennie and our family over the past year.
