Phyllis Plumb

Phyllis graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in Education, and went on to teach for Bethel Public Schools. She loved spending time with her family, reading, teaching, playing piano and mandolin, and being active with her church family at Lakeview Church of Christ. Her greatest achievement was becoming a Grandmother eight times, and was so proud to raise kids that walked with God.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Phil Plumb; daughter Amy Puckett and husband Ralph of Shawnee; son John Plumb and wife Kelli of Shawnee; son Brian Plumb and wife Shannon of OKC; father Jack Matthews of Shawnee; sister Betty Matthews of Shawnee; a very special niece Sherri Matthews of Shawnee; sister-in-law Jan Buthman and husband Jack of Colorado; sister-in-law Julie Sheck of Kansas; brother-in-law Ben Plumb and wife Betsy of Iowa; brother-in-law Richard Plumb and wife Janet of Iowa; sister-in-law Phyllis Plumb of Iowa; brother-in-law Al Plumb and wife Diane of Iowa; sister-in-law Lori Baughman and husband Jim of Iowa; sister-in-law Sue Hawkins and husband Don of Iowa; brother-in-law Steve Plumb and wife Kathy of Iowa; brother-in-law Paul Plumb and wife Michelle of Iowa; eight grandchildren: Amy, Ashia, Ashlyn, Anna, Carson, Jace, Tate, and Reagan; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her mother Ruby Matthews (Abney); and brother Billy Matthews and wife Pam.

Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee, Thursday, August 2, Noon to 8:00pm, with family receiving friends from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
