Shawnee resident, Thomas C. Barber, 65, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Shawnee. He was born on September 3, 1949 in Pasadena, CA. to Carroll and Frances Jean Barber. He married the love of his life, Teresa Lee Kelley on March 13, 1971. Tom had a great passion for life and for his family. He could always be found with a smile on his face and on ornery glint in his eye. Tom was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Cynthia Cartwright and his wife, Teresa Barber.
Tom is survived by one daughter, Letticia Martinez and husband Miguel Alvarado; grandchildren: Nicolas Martinez, Ariana Martinez, Carlos Martinez and Alex Martinez; Step grandchildren: Andrea Rasure and her children Madison and Christopher Gonzales, Miguel Alvarado Jr., Alexander Alvarado, Diego Alvarado and Reyna Alvarado, numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral Service for Tom Barber will held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
