Alma "Jeanie" Brown

Mrs. Alma “Jeanie” Brown, age 87, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Mrs. Brown was born in Hodgenville, KY on August 9, 1935 to the late Collie Kennedy and Mary Carter Kennedy. She was a devoted member of Okolona Christian Church and retired three times from Overdale Elementary Cafeteria.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Henry Bruce Brown.

In addition to her parents and husband, her siblings, Willard Kennedy, Louise Essex (Alford), Maurice Churchman (Johnny), Robert Kennedy, Odell Kennedy and J.D. Kennedy preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Kathy McDonald (Ken) and Lisa Glover (Rocky Webb); grandchildren, Megan Hook (Jimmy) and Brittany Glover (Alison); great- grandchildren, James Hook, Joey Hook and Emersyn Glover; sister-in-laws, Judith Kennedy, Eula Kennedy, Fay Kennedy and Lily Kennedy and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of her service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Private burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery.
