Anthony Kendall

Mr. Anthony Kendall, age 94, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 3, 1931, to the late Jake Kendall and Marie Marr Kendall, Anthony learned the value of hard work early in life. Beginning at just 16 years old, he worked diligently in the printing industry, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Anthony found peace and joy outdoors, especially spending time in his yard and relaxing in his gazebo. Above all else, he cherished his family and the time they shared together. He was devoted to his late wife, with whom he shared 77 years of marriage, and his love for his family was the foundation of his life.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn Marshall Kendall and siblings, Margaret, Joe and Freddie.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Anthony Wayne Kendall (Peggy S.), Ronald Earl “Ronnie” Kendall (Kathi), Sharon Diane Saunders, JoAnn Woods, Timothy Jacob “Timmy” Kendall (Tracy) and Martin Ray “Marty” Kendall (Julie); grandchildren, Zakary, Kasey, Elijah, Nick, James, Sabrina, Katie, Josh, Angie, Lauren, Maddie, Brittany and Matthew; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, John Kendall and a host of other family and friends.

Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) is in charge of arrangements where the family will honor Mr. Kendall’s wishes of cremation.
