Bessie Pauline Raisor Wallace

Bessie Pauline Raisor Wallace, age 97, of Okolona returned to her Heavenly Father on May 20, 2016. Bessie was a retired employee of the old Ben Snyder's Department Store and a Pentecostal by faith. Among those that preceded her in death include her husband, Cecil Clay Wallace; son, Cecil Vernon (Bub) Wallace; daughter, Delores Fay White; brothers, Floyd, Roy Lee, RC and Hannibal "Junior" Raisor; and sisters, Catherine McIntyre and Marjorie Miller. She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Mark Wallace and Heather Hibbs (Brian); sister and constant companion, Edith Martin; daughter-in-law, Bonnie S. Wallace; nieces and caregivers, Peggy Head (Terry) and Terri Blain (Ray); and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, her loyal friends; and her "second son," Freeman "Sonny" Butler (Jo Ann).

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with Brother Glenn Seaman officiating and interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 12-8 pm and Tuesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
