Billy Scott Allen

He was a retired sheriff, minister, author, musician and songwriter, originally from the country roads of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, his travels took to his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from many years. He returned home to care for his mother, Doris. 

Scotty is preceded in death by his daughter, Shontae Marie Allen. He is survived by his son, Joshua D. Allen, grandchildren, Anthony, Selena, Noah, Yaneli. 

He will be greatly missed by his sister, Marian Lynn Allen, whom he protected as a child, and brother, John Robert McCreary that had such a brotherly bond that cannot be broken. Beautiful niece, Elizabeth Nicole "Nikki" Kirk (Jason) loved and understood him, and loved by great nephew, Jaden Kirk, and great nieces Jocelyn & Bella Kirk and nephew Matthew McCreary who always put smiles and twinkles in his eye.

Scotty will be joining his parents, Doris M. and Bill Allen, that taught him early on about faith and love, blessing him with a loving heart and strong mind. 

Following the Kentucky Road to his heavenly Fathers home. 

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 3:00 pm till 8:00 pm and after 12:00 pm Friday until time of service at the funeral home.
