

Mrs. Bonnie Lou Chesher, age 67, of Mt. Washington, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 6, 2026. Bonnie was born in Louisville, KY on October 21, 1958 to the late John E. Quarfeld Sr. and Emma Lou Lewis Quarfeld.
She was a loving, selfless person whose passion in life was her family. She rarely missed an opportunity to support them. She could often be found at their events, always proud and always full of love. She treasured the many family vacations and the time spent together making memories, doing lots of different things. She loved and cherished the adventures she had with her kids and grandkids. Known for her generous and selfless spirit, she was always doing anything to help her family in any way she could. She gave of herself freely and without hesitation. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church and enjoyed attending services at Church of the Crossroads.
Her passing leaves a deep and painful loss for those who loved her. She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, her compassionate heart, her love for the color purple and the Kentucky Wildcats. It was a blessing to have her, and she will be loved, honored and missed throughout the rest of our days.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky L. Chesher, Jr. and her siblings, John Quarfeld, Jr. and Debbie Raley.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Chris Coffman (Garland) and Brittany (Edwin); grandchildren, Jeremy, Dillon (Gabrielle), Alexis (Brenden), Tyler, Gavin, Austin, Dawson, Sean, Kaitlin, Taylor and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Grayson, Elena and Layla; her twin sister, Connie Hessig; siblings, Judy Conquest, Donnie Quarfeld Sr. and Brenda Powers; a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday, March 13 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
