Bonnie Jean Foley

Bonnie Jean Foley, age 74, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born on June 13, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Marilyn (Melcher) Nix. Bonnie was Catholic by faith. In her earlier years, she loved hunting, especially doves. She loved guns and knives and being outdoors where she cherished her life spent on the farm. She also loved dogs, having had many during her life. Bonnie was generous, always putting others’ needs before her own. She could always be counted on to speak her mind. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Foley and sisters Sandra (Dilley) Adair and Donna Nix.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Louis Payton (Dana); sisters, Linda Paulley (Chris “Sonny”) and Pam Washburn (Roger); brother, Joseph Nix (Brenda); grandchildren, Hannah, L.J., Jamison, Jacob and Hailey; great-grandchildren, Jayvan and Hayleigh; fur-baby, Taco, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with private interment in Winchester Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
