Carol Ann Schmitt

Carol Ann Schmitt, age 82, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 29, 2025. She was born in Milan, Tennessee on August 7, 1943, to the late Ernest Elmer Stanfill and Lucy Florence Wilder. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her family was the center of her universe. She was a member of Auburndale Baptist Church. Carol retired after many years of being an Early Childhood Educator. She was a firm believer in advocating for numerous causes. Carol radiated happiness, kindness, and compassion, touching the lives of everyone around her. Whether it was lending a helping hand, offering a listening ear, or simply showing up when it mattered most, Carol never hesitated to put others first. She supported and encouraged all her children to follow their dreams. She brought light, laughter, and warmth to many situations. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Carol was preceded in death by her spouse, Clarence Joe Schmitt; her parents; her siblings, Mary Joyce Stanfill, Ernest Ancil Stanfill, Martha Ward, and Buddy Stanfill.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kim Walker (Jim) and Kristy McMillen (Terry); son, Joe Schmitt (Emily); grandchildren, Kaden McMillen, Dylan Schmitt, Gavin Schmitt, and Wesley McMillen; siblings, Betty Wyatt (Arnold) and Maggie Stanfill; along with many other family and friends.

Family and Friends may pay their respects on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Little Flock Baptist Church (5500 N. Preston Hwy Shepherdsville, KY 40165). Visitation will also be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9 am until 10 am at the church. A Funeral Service will be conducted at Little Flock Baptist Church on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Brookland Cemetery. www.subfuneralhome.com
