

Mr. Chad Stephen Richter, age 41, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father Monday, May 26, 2025. Mr. Richter was born October 14, 1983, in Louisville, Kentucky. Chad was a loving husband, father, son, and brother to his family.
Chad loved hiking and had begun to share that with his family. He was always throwing the frisbee with his golden retriever, Tucker, or rooting for his Liverpool football club. He enjoyed sunrises, especially walking along a beach somewhere early in the morning. Chad loved to travel and had visited many places like Sedona and Hawaii here in the U.S., as well as England, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, and Africa on a mission trip. Chad had a passion for music and had just recently taught himself how to play the tenor saxophone. He was well-educated, witty, and a deep thinker who had a special insight into faith, philosophy, and life in general. He followed Christ all his life and loved his family deeply.
Among those who preceded him in death are his grandparents, Jackson “Jess”, and Marilyn Satterly and grandfather, Arthur Richter.
He Leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Hannah Richter; sons, Jackson and Levi; parents, Steve and Jamie Richter; siblings, Corey Richter and Kaitlin Richter; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law; grandmother, Sharon Richter; father and mother-in-law, Gary and Becky Hack; best buddy, Tucker; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 2, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, Kentucky) with private burial to follow at a later date. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2:00p until 7:00pm and on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
A memorial fund will be established for Jackson and Levi through their church for their future needs at ChadRichterFamily.org.
