Mr. Riggs was born June 2, 1933 in Bonneville, Kentucky and was a United States Army veteran. He retired from L&N Railroad after 40 plus years of service and he enjoyed church and the Singing Seniors.
He is preceded in death by his wife Trudy Riggs; daughter, Pat Hansgen; parents, Willis and Bessie Riggs and sister, Lucille Stearman.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Donna Newcom (Dean), Steve Riggs (Sally), Trina Goad (Mike) and Tom Riggs (Connie); 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Hasch (Buddy) and fiancé', Evelyne Hagan.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Ky.
Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington is in charge of the arrangements.
