Charles Edward Stanley

Mr. Charles Edward “Stan” Stanley, age 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father Thursday, March 13, 2025. Mr. Stanley was born October 31, 1939, in Louisville Kentucky, to the late Phil and Mignon “Allis” Stanley. Stan was beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather to his family. He loved gardening, fishing and being outdoors. Stan enjoyed most the time he spent with his family and friends.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Among those who preceded him in death are his parents; sister, Martha Manning; and brother, Phil Stanley Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Virginia Stanley; children, LeeAn, Mary Beth (Jimmy), Melissa (Mark), Jennifer (Shane), Stacy, Stanton (Julie), and Chris (Angela); 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great- great grandchild; sisters, Sylvia (Dave), Edith (Harvey) and Harriet; and host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, Kentucky.) with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 9:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
