He was a member of Clermont Baptist Church. He loved his family, horses, roosters and spending his time outdoors. Clarence was a carpenter by trade and could build anything. He had a sense of humor and a wit that will truly be missed.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Rhodes Phillips, and his sisters, Elizabeth, Delores, Kathleen, and Agnes.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Irvin (Carol), Tommy (Ginnel), Steve (Tammy) and Vicky Kahl (Doug); grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Jesse, Ashlee, Tyler, Stephanie, and Kymberlie; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eva, Joyce, and Faye, and a host of dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 12 noon in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with entombment to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Wednesday, from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
