Deborah "Debbie" Lee Slaughter

Mrs. Deborah Lee “Debbie” (DeWeese) Slaughter, 71, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 10, 2025, at her home in Mount Washington, KY.  She was born on September 24, 1953, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Harold and Doris DeWeese.  Debbie was a retired nurse, and a member of Rockford View United Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Douglas “Doug” DeWeese, her in-laws, LeRoy and Gracie Slaughter, niece, Dana King, and nephew, Jeremy Meyer. 

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Garry Lee Slaughter, her daughter, Belinda Whitehouse (Wayne), her grandson, Kyle Whitehouse, granddaughter Emma Whitehouse (Cameron), her mother, Doris Sadler DeWeese, sisters, Donna Gooden (Ron) and Diane King, brother, Douglas DeWeese (Gail), nieces, Kelly, Abigail, Kayla and nephew, Jerry, and other family and friends.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, February 14, 2025, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Highway, with a burial at Lone Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at S
