Diana Lynn Smith

Diana Lynn Smith, age 70, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 8, 2023.   She was born in Louisville, KY on March 19, 1953, to the late Edward Bates and Mary Ferguson Bates.

She was a member of the Pathway Holiness Church.

Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Randy Pozzie; second husband, Ralph D. Smith; son-in-law, Leon Davis; brother, Eddie Bates, sister, Minnie Fay. 

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Melissa Davis and Maggie Jones (Hank); son, Vincent Pozzie (Linda); grandchildren, Tiffany Herchenrader, T.J. Smith, Stephanie Davis, Daniel Pozzie, Kristie Williamson, Misty Williams, Samantha Davis, Nathan Jones, Vanessa Jones, Jasper Jones, Jessica Davis; 22 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.    

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, July 14, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with entombment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 10 am until time of the service at the funeral home.
