Donald Edward Malone, age 80, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Donald was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 14, 1940 to the late Carlos Sr. and Madeline (Workman) Malone. Donald was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army and was a Past Master Mason of the Bullitt Lodge #155. He was a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of the Kosair Shriners and the Scottish Rite.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Wilbert Malone, James Workman, Carlos Malone Jr., and Gene Malone.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Patricia Malone; sons, Mark Malone (Missy), Michael Malone, Mike Upton (Lesley) and Moses Malone (Carrie); daughter, Kathy Pike (Steven); grandchildren, Jessica, Alex, Abby, Joshua, Jacob, Caleb, Jason, Patrick, Chloe, Caleb, Kelsey, Isaiah and Caden; great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Miya and Lucas; sister, Jodie Malone; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 2pm until 8pm and on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
