Donald Paul Olges

   Donald Paul Olges, age 70, of Brooks, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 4, 2024, with loving family by his side. He was born on November 20, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late John Sr. and Mary Strobel Olges. He retired from UPS after 20 years of faithful service. Donald loved sports and was an umpire for various colleges. He was a member of AA and proudly celebrated 36 years of sobriety. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Olges and John Olges, Jr.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Kevin Olges (Jessica); grandson, Grant Olges; nieces, Beverly Olges and Benetta Kennedy (Mike) and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 7 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 1 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
