

Mrs. Donna Lynn (Hack) Thompson, age 59 of Pioneer Village, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 5, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Donna was born on April 8, 1964 to Don Hack and the late Wanda (Hensley) Baker. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepdad, Gary Baker and stepmom, Bev Hack.
Donna spent her life taking care of her children and family. She held everything together while remaining in the background to allow others to shine. She was full of life, loving and being loved by her family. She was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church, long-term Vice President of Hillview’s “Operation Santa”, served on the Ethics Board in Pioneer Village and proudly played Mrs. Claus for the Zoneton Fire Department and several elementary schools in Bullitt County.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 39 years, Tony Thompson; son, N. Aaron Thompson (Danica); daughter, Amber Thompson; grandchildren, Penelope, Clark, Emmit, Maxwell and Delaney; father, Don Hack (Trish); sister, Ronda Broyles (Curtis Johnson); brothers, Mike Hack (Kelsey), Richard Baker (Pam) and Matt Harrison; step-siblings, Stuart Embry (Allison), Matt Embry and Rachel Embry; her Besties, Melissa Winchell (Todd), Carla Redmon (Perry) and Jackie Coots (Billy); fur-baby, Molly as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 9 am until 12 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 12 pm in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with cremation to follow.
