Elma June (Carter) Kitterman, age 77, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father July 26, 2019. She was born June 21, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Alma Carter. Mrs. Kitterman was a long-time member and a youth leader of Christian Assembly Church. She had worked in the school cafeteria at Jefferson County Public Schools and as an upholsterer at Louisville Furniture.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine and Joyce. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of over 58 years, Bill Kitterman; son, William Kitterman II (Sondra); grandson, Billy Bob Kitterman; five great grandchildren, Taygen, Gannyn, Addyson, Lyric and Harlow; sister, Carol Hurley (Dave); Brothers-in-law, Butch Kitterman (Sue) and Tom Miller; several nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
