Usually, I have plenty to say but not this time; except, thank you all for your kind words, memories, thoughts and prayers.  I miss you Dad!!

Helen, Teresa, and Jeanette, I am so sorry for your loss. Pat was a very talented man who always helped others. He was smart and fun to be around. The world is a better place because of Pat.

We are devastated to learn of Pat's passing.  We love Pat and Helen and their family.  Our condolences to all.  Pat was one of the MOST interesting people I have ever known. I had the pleasure of being employed by Pat @ Earth & Energy Construction/Old Heady Construction for 13 years.   He was a wonderful boss and always made me feel like a "daughter".  Helen, Jeanette, and Teresa--I love you guys and I know Pat will be missed.  Your family will be in my prayers.

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth, and danced the skies on         laughter-silvered wings;         Sunwards I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds-         and done a thousand things you have not dreamed of-wheeled and         soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.         Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager         craft through footless halls of air, up, up the long delirious blue I've          topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace, where never lark,or even         eagle, flew;         And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod the high untrespassed          sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god. I had the good fortune of meeting Pat when Kenny Downard guided me to Miles Field in my newly built amphibian experimental plane in 1999. I had built that plane in my garage at home.  I was intrigued by the several planes being built in the hanger and the extensive collection of specialized tools in Pat's shop.  I was even more impressed with Pat's deep knowledge of aircraft and engines.  After four years of hangering at Miles Field, Pat and I went into partnership in building a Zenair 601XL.  He would come home from work in the evenings and review my day's work and make suggestions and corrections.  He taught me how to use the tools and the principles of building aircraft. He was an excellent and practical teacher.  We also shared interest in amateur radio and working with computers.   After I had flown N222TL for several years we started on a second Zenair. I was only one of many that Pat took under his wing and guided in the building of experimental aircraft. He was always helping people in all areas of life and he sought no recognition.  I would like to recognize him now for helping me so much.  Pat and Helen became close friends and I will miss him, but he has added a great deal to my life during the almost fifteen years I have known him.    Ted Lawwill, MD

A true friend and mentor. Not just in aviation but in life. Pat could come up with the most simple solutions to complex problems. I find myself on many occasions asking "how would Pat solve this problem?"  He always took time to help me with my projects and was ever patient.  Many found memories of hanging out at Miles Field with Pat, Helen, Drew and all that stopped by. Always a meal or a cold drink.  The camaraderie there was second to none.  There will never be another place like it.  God bless old friend. Keep the shiny side up.

Pat was a good man, as good as they come.  A leader in many respects, exemplified in his faith and great love for his family.  He attained the American Dream, building a successful business and a good life for his family. A positive influence in countless lives across the aviation community and through his work with the Masonic Lodge.  He will be greatly missed.  Godspeed my friend-

I'm amazed at how many life's Pat touched, Pat sure touched my life in a very positive way. I'm so much better off for having the great honor of knowing him.
