Frances Marie Gorsick

Frances Marie Gorsick, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, entered eternal life on January 10, 2026. She was born in Louisville Ky. Frances began her career at Sears Credit right out of high school and retired after 30 years of service. She faithfully attended her beloved Saint James church for over 50 years. She lived her life with kindness and humility, reflecting her love for her family and devotion to her faith.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents Frank William Gorsick and Henrietta Humpick her sisters Gladys Yates, Norma Miller and her brother Frank William Gorsick Jr.

She is survived by her loving nieces Joy Ford, Jan Barnett, Phillis Dattilo and Mary Ann Wick nephews Frank William Gorsick III, Joseph Gorsick, Billy Miller, Larry Miller, Earl Yates, John Yates, and James Yates as well as a multitude of great nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her warmth, humor, and wisdom. Though she never married, Frances devoted her life to her family and faith, finding joy in every gathering, story, and shared meal. Her gentle kindness and steady presence leave a legacy of love that will live on in all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held at 9 am Saturday, January 17, 2026 at St. James Catholic Church 1826 Edenside Ave. with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2026 at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) from 1 pm till 8 pm
