He is preceded in death by his sister, Linnie Coffman.
James was a faithful servant for the Lord, preaching for 57 years. He pastored at several churches and served on the Youth Board for Nolynn Separate Baptist youth camp for 24+ years. James served his country as a Private First Class in the Army. He worked at General Electric for 37 years where he was a maintenance journeyman and always provided for his family. While he struggled to remember many things over the years, his faith in the Lord was unwavering and he always shared his testimony for everything the Lord has done for him. He was sure to remind them to “get right, live right, die right.”
