James L Osborne

.Mr. James L. Osborne, age 95, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, May 4, 2026, with his family by his side. James was born in Springfield, Kentucky, on November 21, 1930, to the late Joseph B. Osborne and Francis Ida Osborne.

James was known as “Jim” or “JO” to his friends. He retired after 40 years of service with Louisville Gas and Electric Company. He was a licensed electrician and was the owner and founder of Jim Osborne & Sons Electric.

He enjoyed being on the lake and boating, driving his Corvette, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories Patricia “Bergamini” Osborne, his sons Christopher Osborne (Debbie), Daniel Osborne, two grandchildren Christopher Osborne and RoseAshley Osborne, and his close friends Eddie Couch and Wayne Park, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery, located behind the Funeral Home.
