Jerry W. Murphy

Mr. Jerry W. Murphy, age 67, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on December 22, 2019. Mr. Murphy was born on October 14, 1952 in Fairdale, KY to the late Andrew and Hallie Jo (Spurling) Murphy. Mr. Murphy was a mechanic. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents; siblings; and best friend, Henry Wells.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 46 years, Wanda Murphy; children, Melissa Tubbs (Jeff), Michael Murphy (Kelly), Jerry Murphy (Vanessa) and Amanda Doyle (Robert); 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nephews, James Dew, Frankie Murphy and Johnny Murphy.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 2-8 pm and Tuesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
