Joan Taylor Rhule

Joan Taylor Rhule, age 81, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, December 30, 2024. Joan was born in Bullitt County, KY on April 19, 1943, to the late Edwin Taylor and Iva Smith Taylor Rutledge, she graduated from Shepherdsville High School, Class of 1961 and she attended Journey Church. She was a loved and treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, John Rhule; grandson, Nicholaus Rhule; granddaughter, Michelle Rhule; siblings, Edwin Taylor Jr., Faye Rutledge, JC Rutledge and JT Rutledge and many aunts and uncles preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, John Rhule (Lori) and Jason Rhule (Angela); grandchildren, Rebecca Rhule, Rachael Peters (Danny), Bonnie Baragary (Jason), Victoria Clark and Morgan Rhule; great-grandchildren, Nora Peters, Asher Broussard and Eloise Baragary; brother, JB Rutledge and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
