John Henry Wright

Mr. John Henry Wright, age 51, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born on February 19, 1971 to Henry Everett (Boomer) Wright and Catherine Elizabeth (Kacky) Wright in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Wright worked construction for many years at Danco Exteriors. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Everett Wright; brother, Scott “Boogaloo” Wright; maternal grandparents, John and Catherine Walker; and paternal grandparents, Everett and Garnett Wright.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Melissa Avis; son, Jonathan McQueen; daughter, Brittany Burks (Devin); Brittany Coulter (Terry); grandchildren, Madilyn McQueen, Skylinn Basham, Nova’lynn Basham, Layla and Oaklyn Coulter, and 3 more on the way; mother, Catherine Wright; sisters, Teresa Wright (David), Melissa Rich (Jim); brothers, Don Wright (Betty), Darin Wright (Kelsey); a host of nieces, nephews family and friends; and fur babies, Teddy, Arya, Thor, Ellie.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Thursday from 12:00pm Noon until the time of service at 2:00pm.
