Mr. Joseph Mark Greenwell, age 52, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on March 14, 2014. Mark was an Area Sales Manager for GE Appliances, and received the Governors Cup for graduating Summa Cum Laude at Sullivan University. Mark was retired from the U.S.N. HMC (FMF). J.M. Greenwell's primary specialty was Advanced Hospital Corpsman. During his 211/2 year's with the Navy he received the South West Asia Medal W/ Bronze Star, 3 Commendation Medals, 3 Meritorious Unit Commendation Medals, an Expert Sharpshooter Rifleman Medal, a Pistol Shot Medal, 5 Good Conduct Medals, an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, 4 Navy/ Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbons, Kuwait Liberation Medal ( Kuwait), 4 Navy Achievement Medal, 2 Navy Unit Commendations, Navy Fleet Marines Force Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and 2 Sea Service Deployment Ribbons. Among those that preceded him in death include his grandparents, Preston and Louise Nalley; father, Thomas Greenwell. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Joyce Roberts (Chester); sisters, Phyllis Cantrell (Roger) and Laura Greenwell; brother, David Greenwell (Wendy); nieces, Tara and Breanna Cantrell and Haley Jo Greenwell; nephews, Joe and Hunter Greenwell and Logan Cantrell; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins whom loved him dearly.
