Kenneth Edwards

Kenneth R. Edwards age 75, of Hillview was born August 15, 1938 in Powersburg, Kentucky the late Hershal and Hattie Edwards and returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Edwards; sister, Madge Davis; brother, Donald Edwards; brother in law, Homer Hancock.

Mr. Edwards proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later in the U.S. Army Reserve where he retied from in 1998. He also retired from Emery Worldwide after 23 years of service. Mr. Edwards and accepted Christ as his lord and savior many years ago and was a deacon at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Fairdale, KY for 30 years and also attended Minors Lane Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Edna Fulton Edwards; children, Joey Edwards and Crystal Dearmond (John); grandchildren, Shelby Grant and Chase Dearmond; sisters, Margie Hancock, Maxine Rednour (Robie) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Saturday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.). Burial will be at noon on Monday at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst.
