Lawrence Smith

Mr. Lawrence Smith, age 91, of Celina, TN (formerly of Fairdale, KY), returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 8, 2024. Mr. Smith was born in Jackson, KY on January 3, 1933 to the late William A. Smith and Ellen Spicer Smith and he served in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, his siblings, Mae Hensley, Pryce Smith, Kenny Smith and William Wayne “Bill” Smith preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Darlene Barr and John Smith; nieces and nephews, Robert Barr, David G. Smith, Deanna Smith, Melissa Blair, Michelle Hester, Stephanie Pauze, Karen  Smith, Dana Smith Allen, Kim Smith Huber, Billy Joe Johnson, Joyce Harris, Shirley Humflet and Cassandra Maraman; a host of other beloved nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon at the funeral home.
