Leo Daniel Cook Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father Leo Daniel Cook, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Willa Ann Cook, his sister Lori Schroering (Steve), one niece, Taya Hill, four nephews Trevor Hill (Samantha), Troy Hanson, Trenton Schroering and Dawson Schroering.

While Danny did not have children, he left his 3 dogs who he loved so very much. Also, left to cherish his memory are several very close friends. Many of whom have been close since they were teenagers. You know who you are, and Danny loved you.

Danny was a lifelong law enforcement officer. His career started at Shively Police Department and ended at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department where he was employed at the time of his death.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, May 24, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Resthaven. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 12 pm to 8:00 pm. And Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
