Linda Karen Wallace

Mrs. Linda Karen Wallace, age 73, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Linda was born on September 22, 1951, to the late Joseph Bertrand "Bert” Mattingly and Ruth Evelyn (Lindsey) Mattingly. She was an instructional assistant with Bullitt County Public Schools for over 20 years, where she enjoyed caring for children with special needs. Linda was a devoted wife, a loving and caring mother and nana to her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, traveling, spending time with her high school friends, fourth of July Celebrations, and enjoying her Christmas Tree. Linda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 44 years Don Wallace, her son Jerry McPherson, daughter Kelly McPherson-Shuff (Paul), son Eric McPherson, two grandchildren Tucker Shuff and Cooper Shuff, her brother Jimmy Mattingly (Shari), sister Diane Mattingly, sister Nancy Wirth (Michael), sister Darlene Hazel, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). A Funeral Service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. that evening in the chapel. Cremation to follow.
