Louis "Tony" A. Elmore

Mr. Louis “Tony” A. Elmore, age 82, of Shepherdsville, Ky passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June17, 1942, to the late Mildred Elmore. He was a United States Army Veteran, a retired machinist and engineer. He enjoyed working with his hands and being outdoors, he built his own home and always enjoyed tinkering on different projects. Early in life he loved doing artwork, hunting and fishing. Tony was an amazing husband and father he was a wise man with great wisdom. He also enjoyed his fur babies’ company Muffy, Gidget, Lucky and Winey. Tony will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and late wife Shirley Tucker Elmore and son Michael Elmore.

He is survived by his son Marcus Elmore (Carol) daughter Sherry Whitehouse (Brian), 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, two half-sisters Dee Dee and Linda. Along with nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). The visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00p.m. Cremation was chosen.
