Lucy Thomas Canter

Ms. Lucy Thomas Canter, age 86 of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 7, 2022. She was born on May 14, 1935 in Monroe County, Kentucky to the late Curtis and Maggie Petett. She was a member of the VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary and was the former owner of C&L Billiards. She enjoyed horse races and playing bingo. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Carroll Canter; her siblings, Mildred Owens, Margie Smith, Dane McKinney, Frank Petett, James Petett, Roy Petett, Joe Petett and Cecil Petett.

She leaves to cherish in her memory her children, Sue Floyd (Kurt), Lana Armes (Bill) and Maggie Mumford (Jerry); her grandchildren, Tabitha Vize (Matt), Chris Floyd (Brigit), Tommy Floyd (Sara), Teylor Thompson, Trevor Armes (Lindsey), Drew Mumford (Christina) and Brittany Mumford; her great grandchildren, Kylie, Katelyn, Luke, Chase, Jake, Isabella, Jack, Cash, Wells and Eli; her brother, J.E. Petett (Martha); along with a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Monday, March 14, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home – Highway 44 East, 123 Winning Circles Dr. Mount Washington with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitations will be on Sunday 3pm until 8 pm and on Monday 10am until time of service.
