Mamie Katherine Sparks

Mrs. Mamie Katherine Sparks, age 77, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Mrs. Sparks was born in Louisville, KY on April 29, 1943 to the late George Brinson Sr. and Geneva Hazel Brinson. She was a retired supervisor for White Castle.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her beloved husband, William Donald Sparks Sr. and her brothers, George Brinson Jr., Charlie Brinson, Bobby Brinson, Jerry Brinson and Jimmy Brinson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, William Sparks Jr., John Sparks Sr. (Patty) and Stanley Sparks (Jennifer); grandchildren, Frenda, Christian, John Jr., Brandon, Kenny, Haley and Seth; great- grandchildren, Aiden, Alex, Addisyn, Maison, Jaidyn and Vicki; sisters, Roberta Clifton (Phil) and JoAnn Brinson (Gary) and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 3, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
